INVITATION TO ATTEND A WORKSHOP ON THE PRACTICE OF UKUTHWALA CONDUCTED BY THE SOUTH AFRICAN LAW REFORM COMMISSION
The South African Law Reform Commission (the Commission) cordially invites you to to attend a workshop on the practice of ukuthwala. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the proposals contained in the revised discussion paper on the practice of ukuthwala and to focus on law reform initiatives in this regard. The Commission will consider inputs made and use insights gained during the deliberations in drafting the report on the practice of ukuthwala and its recommendation to the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services. A copy of the provisional programme is attached.
The Commission will be conducting workshops in KwaZulu Natal (28 January 2016), Eastern Cape (04 February 2016), Limpopo (11 February 2016), Mpumalanga (18 February 2016), Free State (25 February 2016) and Pretoria (03 March 2016).
